I took one look at the funny picture, with people waving their hands in the air, and thought to myself no I don't think they are actually...

Which just goes to show how very foolish and prejudiced you are. Perhaps one day, when you grow up and a bit braver, you will feel able to go to a meeting despite your dislike of its advertisment, and you might even be brave enough to out your name when you write a silly and ignorant comment. You aren't really very comfortable with your prejudices, are you? So why not drop them, open up your mind, and learn more about the Catholic Faith, which has so much to challenge and inspire you.

...and ps: I am honestly still puzzled as to why you think people should not be allowed to raise their hands at a meeting to ask a question. And if it really worries you, why not just attend the main lecture and leave when the questions start?
